My career has spanned over 25 years and has included everything from the simple retail floristry position of "bench designer" to the design and production of the grand event. Early in my career I performed platform design for national trade shows, with an emphasis on tabletop and wedding design. I have also had the opportunity to own two design studios, one of which was in San Francisco. Through my San Francisco studio, Cartier, Gucci, Frette Linens, and St. John Knits were just some of the retail/corporate accounts that I maintained. With regards to St. John Knits, my work set the "corporate standard" for their boutiques world wide. After selling my studio in San Francisco and relocating to New York, I focused on freelance design and production. Some of the event companies I had the pleasure to work with are Bardin Palomo, Colin Cowie Lifestyle, DeJuan Stroud, as well as David Tutera.
Since returning to the Green Bay area full time, it is with great excitement and passion that I have launched Brett Leemkuil Design. Through BLD, my goal is not only to provide a distinct point of view through design but also to utilize a budget to its fullest potential, thus creating a seamless, well thought out event or interior for my clients. I hope this information provides you with some insight to the vast and wonderful career I have had. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions that you may have.
Many Thanks,
Brett L. Leemkuil
